Thirty Years on the Road is curated by ArtCenter’s alumnus Edouard Duval-Carrié, an artist and curator based in Miami who was at the ArtCenter in the early 1990s. The exhibition highlights ArtCenter as a creative hub featuring over 150 alumni and resident artists’ artwork including Carlos Alves, Carlos Betancourt, Vicenta Casañ, Susan Lee Chun, Liliam Cuenca, Nina Ferre,Luis Gispert, Pepe Mar, Beatriz Monteavaro, Brandon Opalka, Gavin Perry, Jen Stark, Federico Uribe and many more. It will encompass several venues, including: The Richard Shack Gallery, Project 924, 924 Lincoln, the Lincoln-Meridian windows and four Windows@Walgreens locations.

Banco ESA! is back! Presented in partnership with PANAL 361, Banco ESA! is a project created by visiting artist Pablo Mozuc from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is based on a complex mix of economics, pseudo-finance and traditional oil painting. During Art Basel in Miami Beach at ArtCenter, Mozuc installs a second branch of Banco ESA! equipped with original handcrafted currency that may have different valuations depending on the day, much like the stock market.

Studio Crawl

800-810 & 924 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach Studio Crawl, held every first Saturday of the month, invites visitors to wander throughout the ArtCenter’s buildings, exchange with our artists in their studios and view our current exhibitions.

In addition to the 30th anniversary exhibition Thirty Years on the Road, December’s Studio Crawl has some special surprises including performances by Tatsuya Nakatani featuring Matthew Evan Taylor and members of Unbound Improv Ensemble (presented in collaboration with Audiotheque). While at the 800 building, visit the Jewelry Lab as they host an open house with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Then, head over to 924 building to catch the rest of Thirty Years on the Road and visit Cat Del Buono/ReFemme’s Beauty Box and Pablo Mozuc’s Banco ESA’s new Miami Beach branch.

Medianoche reveals the mysteries of the night’s urban geography. Candria is seduced by the nocturnal and its lights—from the brightest to the ones that reveal the secrets of evening life. She uses the camera as her accomplice as she captures fragments of hidden realities and converts them into protagonists in a universal landscape—the nightscape of a city. This exhibition features photographic and video works including the series Hogares Encendidos.
