Geometry in Motion by Brazilian artist Heloisa Botelho brings charcoal drawings and collages. In this new series, inspired by Copacabana in her hometown of Rio, the artist introduces imagery and shapes including circles, an influence of the Art Deco architecture that abounds in her new city. These geometric shapes are not exact as a result of this technique. Precision is lost in the process. There is motion in the process.
Heloisa Botelho, b. Brazil, lives and works in Miami Beach. Her work has been featured in numerous international museums and group exhibitions across North America, Europe and Asia.
