HistoryMiami exhibits Sinatra: An American Icon

Mar 4 - Jun 5, 2016

In celebration of Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday, HistoryMiami Museum will feature Sinatra: An American Icon, a multi-media exhibition exploring the life of the multiple GRAMMY Award winner. The exhibition, curated by the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, traces 100 years of Sinatra’s career and impact on American culture. The exhibition includes never-before-seen photos, family mementos, rare correspondence, personal items, artwork, and music.

Curated by HistoryMiami, a special display will highlight Sinatra’s connections to the Miami area. During the mid-20th century, Sinatra not only performed at local venues, but also shot several movies and television programs on location in the region, including at the famed Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach.
