IDEA@thebass Family Day: Kites And Airplanes

Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Every last Sunday of the month is Family Day at The Bass Museum. On Sunday, June 29, parents and kids will get a chance to design and make their own kites and airplanes.

The Lindemann Family Creativity Center is home to the museum’s IDEA@thebass program of art classes and workshops. Developed in conjunction with Stanford University’s acclaimed Institute of Design, IDEA classes employ a method of teaching known as Design a Thinking, an open-ended, problem-solving that allows children to brainstorm, work in teams, and engage in creative play.

IDEA@thebass stands for Identify, Discuss, Envision, Assess. IDEA@thebass uses art to stimulate the critical thinking skills of children between the ages of 3 and 10.
