This season the festival continues its partnership with the landmark Coral Gables venue – The Biltmore Hotel – that will host 7 of the festival Sunday afternoon concerts and 2 Family Concerts. The Opening Night will take place on Saturday, April 25, 6pm, at Gusman Hall-UM; this special event will honor Doreen Marx and Byron Krulewitch for their remarkable contribution for the arts in Miami.
On Saturday May 16th, with two performances at 5 and 7pm, we will celebrate the Miami artist Sebastian Spreng in a concert devoted to Mahler at the Kelley Roy Gallery in Wynwood. Once again the Season Finale Concert will take place at the acoustically superb Knight Concert Hall of the Adrienne Arsht Center – a remarkable setting for a multimedia chamber music event.
The stellar 2015 Season includes an exceptional lineup of local and visiting artists. You will hear the Bergonzi, Amernet, Delray and Sona String Quartets, NWS fellows, the Carnegie Hall affiliate ensemble Decoda, violist Richard O’Neill, soprano Maria Aleida, violinists Robert Davidovici and Jinjoo Cho, pianists Grace Fong, Kemal Gekic and Stanislav Khristenko, among others.
