Miami Light Project starts its 2015-2016 Performance Series

Miami Light Project proudly starts its season with iRESI by Carlos Averhoff Jr, at The Light Box Goldman Warehouse. The Latin Grammy nominated Cuban tenor saxophonist and contemporary Afro-Cuban Jazz composer will debut as a leader. With an especially unique approach, Carlos masterfully weaves his hard hitting jazz compositions with the rhythms of his native Cuba.

Havana native Carlos Averhoff Jr began his training at the age of 10. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2010 and in 2013, with honors from New England Conservatory’s prestigious graduate program. Averhoff has performed at some of the world’s premier music venues including Carnegie Hall, The Berklee Performance Center and the Jackie Gleason Theater, among others, as well as several jazz festivals around the world.
