New World Symphony: Nordic Masters at ARSHT

Internationally renowned conductor Osmo Vänskä and the New World Symphony dedicate an evening to Nordic musical masters, featuring Nielsen’s grand sunrise that ascends in what the composer calls a “joyous song of praise.” From Nielsen Helios Overture. Grieg’s famous Piano Concerto comes to life in the hands of pianist Garrick Ohlsson before Sibelius’ magnificent First Symphony.
