New Media entries are encouraged, experimental as well as traditional, on or of paper. Note: Sculpture and installation work must be ready to exhibit and cannot exceed sixty inches in any dimension unassembled. The work must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously exhibited at the UWF Art Gallery. The Art Gallery reserves the right to exclude any work that presents complex installation problems.</description>

			<title>Art at the Miami-Dade Public Library System</title>

			<description>Ongoing.The Miami-Dade Public Library System&amp;rsquo;s Art Services and Exhibitions Department curates a year-round program of exhibitions, performances, lectures, panel discussions, and community art projects. All of these are free and open to the public. They also maintain a special collection of over 2,200 works of art. The collection includes works on paper, photographs, artists&amp;rsquo; books, and small sculptures, with a focus on African American, Latino, and Miami artists. Additionally, the Vasari Project is an archive that documents the development of the visual arts in Miami-Dade County since 1945. It contains correspondence, press clippings, photographs, oral histories and other materials. The public may access both of these collections for research and reference.</description>

Oct 16th, 2008.The International Kids Fund (IKF), a program of Jackson Memorial Foundation, has scheduled the IKF Latin American Art Auction 2008 on October 16th, 2008. This is the signature fundraising event for the organization. It will be held at the CIFO (Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation) Art Center, located at 1018 North Miami Avenue in Miami. Known in the art world as the &amp;ldquo;Collector&amp;rsquo;s Auction,&amp;rdquo; there is both a silent and live auction, as well as a &amp;ldquo;Collector&amp;rsquo;s Corner&amp;rdquo; at the event. An array of hors d&amp;rsquo;oeuvres and cocktails will be served throughout the evening.</description>

Whereas Munoz documents life through photography, Ruffino paints reflections of her dreams. The juxtaposition of &amp;ldquo;the here and now&amp;rdquo; and a fictitious reality create ambiguities in the pieces that are literally and conceptually familiar.
