Aventura Mall will present smART Gallery, a unique art exhibition geared to families and children. The gallery will feature more than 40 pieces in various mediums created by local and national professional artists. The pieces are themed to promote literacy and numeracy in the Miami-Dade community and will be displayed at eye-level viewing for children to fully appreciate the experience.
Aventura Mall partnered with Just My Height Art Shows to curate the gallery pieces. Highlighted art pieces will include “Sandpaper Letters” by Margie Bauer, “Keep Chasing” by Quintiara Ford, “Do I Know Enough” by Benedicte Blanc-Fontenille, and “Heart Hype” by David McCauley.
Saturday, March 11, will be smART Gallery “Family Day” featuring an array of interactive activities for children up to age 12, including a Digital Graffiti Wall and hands-on projects using the Fresh Paint app for Microsoft Windows 10.

The Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership is dedicated to families and children in our community. The Family Learning Partnership collaborates with community agencies and institutions to improve child and family well-being. The work focuses on family and adult literacy, family support, child welfare, literacy training and research.
Just My Height Art Shows brings fine art to young children’s eye level® created and managed by Miami Artist Christine Lyall in 2013 in which fine art produced by professional and/or emerging artists is displayed at 36 inches high, allowing for young children, as well as adults, to see the art.
Entrance to smART Gallery is free. It will be located at Aventura Mall’s Center Court daily from 10am-8pm.
The event benefits the Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership, a non-profit organization that promotes literacy and parent-skill building across Miami-Dade county. All artwork will be for sale, with proceeds benefitting Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership and the artists.
