St. Hugh-Steinway Concert Series presents Anna Litvinenko and Roberto Berrocal

Virtuoso Cellist ANNA LITVINENKO and ROBERTO BERROCAL play Poulenc, De Falla and Golijov.

Anna Litvinenko, American cellist of Cuban and Ukrainian heritage, began her cello studies with her father Konstantin Litvinenko at the age of six, and from a young age gained recognition at competitions, giving solo recitals, and appearing as a soloist with orchestras like the Miami Symphony, the New World Symphony, the Orquesta Juvenil Teresa Carreño, and the Odessa Philharmonic. Anna completed her bachelor’s degree with Joel Krosnick at the Juilliard School, where upon graduating she was awarded the John Erskine Prize for exceptional scholastic and artistic achievement.
Roberto Berrocal began his piano studies in his native Bilbao, in the Basque country of Spain. He graduated from the College of Charleston in 2000 having received the Award for Excellence in Piano and Outstanding Student Award. Roberto graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a Masters Degree in Piano Performance as one of three winners of the Blütner Foundation Piano Competition. He also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Collaborative Piano focusing in opera, studying with the renowned pianist and conductor John Moriarty
