Waterfront Playhouse presents NEXT FALL, by Geoffrey Nauffts

Feb 12- Feb 28, 2015, 8pm

The Waterfront Playhouse proudly presents one of the most celebrated plays in recent Broadway history, “Next Fall,” by Geoffrey Nauffts. This witty and provocative look at faith, commitment and unconditional love, will be directed by Murphy Davis and features an outstanding cast of both imported and local actors. The New York Times called the play, “a smart, sensitive, immensely appealing comedy that touches the heart “. The opening night for “Next Fall” is February 12th, with previews on February 10th and 11th. All performances are at 8 PM.

“Next Fall” is about Adam (neurotic and an atheist) and Luke (a struggling young actor and a devout Christian) and their attempt to make their five-year relationship work. When the unthinkable happens, family and friends descend upon the couple and longtime differences collide and emotional fireworks erupt.

Playing Adam and Luke will be two actors who have been brought in from New York. Adam will be Adam McLaughlin, who has appeared at Manhattan Theater Club, Naked Angels and the Ensemble Studio Theatre, as well as in film and TV. Luke will be played by Trey Gerrald, who is currently in the hit TV show “Orange Is The New Black,” as well as several TV and web series.

Bob Bowersox will play Luke’s opinionated and devout father, Butch; Annie Miners plays Luke’s mother with a past, Arlene; Nicole Nurenberg will play the witty best friend, Holly and Kaleb Smith plays Luke’s devout friend.
