Jazz and Art. June 7th, 2008. 8:00 p.m.Arts at St. Johns. Miami ArtArt St. Johns celebrates Jazz, Art and Historic MiMo Architecture with a new monthly series of Jazz and Art events celebrating the uniquely American art form of Jazz, in the new historic MiMo district.  Visual art, with a musical theme, will be on view as local jazz trio Sonido Batido combines the juicy rhythms of Latin tunes, with jazz standards and a touch of Asian sound.

As part of their American Music Series, ASJ offers a series of Jazz events, with visual arts to enhance the theme, for local Jazz and Art lovers. The events will be held at Harvey Seeds – a recently renovated, relaxed cocktail lounge, inside the American Legion Hall overlooking Biscayne Bay. Located in the historic MiMo District, the American Legion Hall is surrounded by examples of truly American 20th century architecture, with a distinct Miami flair.
