Jewish Photographic Memories

Jewish Museum of Florida. From Feb 10th through May 10th, 2009.  The Jewish Museum of Florida announces the opening of its next temporary exhibit, Jewish Photographic Memories by Gabriela Landau, on February 10th, 2009. The show of 25 black and white images of New York City's Lower East Side will run through May 10th, 2009.

Pedro Reyes: 47 Undertakings

Bass Museum. From Dec 4th, 2008 through Mar 1st, 2009.  This exhibition is comprised of sculptures, drawings, models, props, and video footage – 47 pieces total – which reveal the progression of the artist's conceptual strategies that precede the final product. Trained as an architect, Mexican artist Pedro Reyes explores the ways in which a space can be created to combine utopian ideas as well as functionality.

MOCA by Moonlight

January 2009.  The Museum of Contemporary Art introduces new hours in 2009. Starting on January 7th, MOCA will be open from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. every Wednesday.  On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, galleries will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Galleries are open on Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. and closed on Mondays.
