The Adrienne Arsht Center. Sept 26th, 2010. A new production from the creators of Stomp makes its U.S. debut in Miami this fall launching at the Adrienne Arsht Center during its 5th anniversary season.

Oct 9th, 2010. 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, Oct 9th the Miami Bach Society will present the Baroque Ensemble Repast for the second of its annual season performances.

The New Presbyterian Church. Sept 26th, 2010. 2:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26th, South Florida will bid adieu to its rising operatic star, Philip Alongi, as he returns to his birth city of New York to launch his professional career after four years of formal study here.

New Horizons Band. September 2010. The University of Miami Frost School of Music is now host to the New Horizons Band in Miami, an organization geared toward senior adults (age 50+) who want to learn or relearn to play a musical instrument. From Aug 27th through Sept 24th, 2010. The  Museum of Art continues its successful Jazz Series this summer starting on Friday, August 27th and continues through September 24th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This six-week series runs every other Friday evening and will feature some of the best contemporary Jazz artists in Miami.

August 29th, 2010. 6:00 p.m. Musical Murals is a concert of music inspired by art that will feature an arrangement of Mussorgsky’s popular work “Pictures at an Exhibition” and an original arrangement of Respighi’s orchestral work “Trittico Botticelliano.

Colony Theater. October 7th and 9th, 2010. 8:00 p.m. Alexander Dumas’ Jr. famous novel and play “La Dame aux camellias” inspired Verdi to create one of the most beautiful and mostly represented opera worldwide.

August 28th, 2010. 8:00 p.m. One of Brazil’s biggest stars right now, Ivete Sangalo, will take over Miami when she performs for one night only at American Airlines Arena on Saturday August 28th at 8:00 p.m.

Jul 24th and Aug 28th, 2010. The Deering Estate’s Summer Cabaret Concert Series features eclectic and world music artists in the intimate setting of the Stone House Ballroom.

From Nov 13th, 2010 through May 1st, 2011 Florida Grand Opera will open its 70th season on November 13th, 2010, with Puccini’s Turandot, considered by many to be the culmination of the Italian grand opera tradition.

The Grammy Award-winning songstress appears at the Adrienne Arsht Center on August 3rd, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. in the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall.

Miniaci Center for the Performing Arts. June 12th, 2010. 8:00 p.m. Since 1994 when Nicholas Payton made his recording debut as a leader with From This Moment, the trumpeter has been lauded as a significant, top-tier voice in jazz.

Broward Center. June 22nd, 2010. 7:30 p.m. Matt Zarley made his Broadway debut, while still a teen, in A Chorus Line. He has also been featured in Cats, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and played the title roles in both Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Who’s Tommy… all Broadway.

Broward Center. August 25th, 2010. 8:00 p.m. AEG Live and Broward Center present singer/songwriter Natalie Merchant. Her career spans three decades – as the leader of 10,000 Maniacs and in her own solo work – of making warmly personal music.
