Miami Beach Cinematueque August 16th, 2007. 8:30 p.m.Kamp Katrina is a film directed by Ashley Sabin recently released in 2007. It is set post-Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans where Ms. Pearl, an Upper 9th Ward resident offers her backyard to 14 displaced people to make a self-made tent community, Kamp Katrina. Confronted with limited resources, they attempt to create a community for the residents of Kamp Katrina.
