John Hammond in Concert

On Saturday, February 7th, Tigertail Productions brings Hammond to Miami Beach's Colony Theatre for a special solo evening.

Hammond is an authentic voice, part of the great legacy of American musical invention. A Grammy Award winner and seven-time Blues Music Award-winning artist, his most recent CD – Push Comes to Shove – is a reinvention of himself for which he wrote an unprecedented five original songs. Hammond has recorded 31 albums and performed continuously on five continents with such musical greats as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Duane Allman, Michael Bloomfield, John Lee Hooker, J.J. Cale, Tom Waits and The Band.

Hammond's voice runs the gamut from big and gruff to sly and sexy, while his stellar steel guitar work and harmonica playing is at home in any setting. At his Miami concert, John Hammond will perform a solo acoustic set that ranges from raw and dirty to the emotionally powerful. This one-night only concert is presented by the non-profit Tigertail Productions, a South Florida leader in innovative cultural work.
