The BHI Art and Culture Foundation Movies on the Green series will present a special Earth day celebration featuring a screening of Leo Di Caprio’s-narrated riveting environmental documentary The 11th Hour on Saturday, April 12th at 8:00 p.m. Introducing the film will be renowned speaker and environmentalist Harvey Ruvin, Miami-Dade Chairman of the Climate Change Advisory Task Force and City and County Court Clerk.

The 11th Hour by Nadia Conners and Leila Conners Petersen released in 2007 and narrated by Leo Di Caprio shows the powerful, and often negative, effect humanity has had on the planet. The captivating film explores how humans live, how they impact the earth’s ecosystems and how we can change our course. It emphasizes that the time to act is now.

BHI Art and Culture Foundation’s Movies on the Green screenings are held the 2nd Saturday of every month on the empty lot on Kane Concourse (aka 96th St.) and West Bay Harbor Drive in Bay Harbor Island.

BHI Art and Culture Foundation presents the film Buddy by Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum on January 12th at 1177 Kane Concourse in Bay Harbor Islands. Buddy is a romantic comedy about daring to be who you are. It explores what makes people the happiest and how that impacts those they call "friends". This international award winning film has been selected as the Audience Winner on several occasions, as it has the ability to connect to each and every-one of us. (more…)
