NWSA Symphony Orchestra plays Sergei Rachmaninov

The New World School of the Arts Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of maestro Alfred Gershfeld, will perform major works by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov. The Orchestra will share the stage with American pianist Christopher O’Riley, host of the National Public Radio show From the Top. Sergei Rachmaninov’ s beloved 2nd Piano Concerto in C Minor will be performed by the famed American pianist. Another important work on the program will be Rachmaninov’s impressive and virtuosic Symphonic Dances.
