Prize Winning Photographer helps Caldwell Theatre raise funds

From Aug 13th through Sept 5th, 2010.

altPrize winning fine arts photographer, Katherine Morgan, opens a new exhibition at the Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton on Friday in a bid to raise much needed funds for the theater, the longest running regional theater in South Florida. The Caldwell has seen massive cutbacks in state and county funding and is running an aggressive fund raising campaign. Morgan, a longtime Boca Raton resident, will donate 20% of the sales of the photographs on exhibition to the theater though her “Art With A Heart” program.

Close Up: The Inner Beauty of Flowers, Photographic Works by Katherine Morgan opens on Friday, August 13th along with “The Comfort of Darkness,” by Joel Gross, the latest in a long line of world premieres at the Caldwell. The exhibition and the play run through September 5th. The exhibition features 25 limited edition digital photographs of flowers printed with pigment inks on archival paper. All the works are custom framed with museum quality acrylic.

Katherine Morgan is a widely exhibited, prize winning, fine art photographer. Her work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine and been exhibited at the New York Expo at the Jacob Javits Center. Locally her work has been exhibited at the Bass Museum in Miami Beach and the Morikami Museum in Delray Beach. In 2009 she was selected for the National Art Encounter group exhibition at The von Liebig Art Center Naples and won honors at The Boca Raton Museum of Art Artists’ Guild Exhibition.
