Big Night in Little Haiti – FREE!
Friday, January 19th, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Little Haiti Cultural Center, Miami
The night starts with a lecture demonstration from Rara Lakay, showing the instruments and talking about the rara tradition

7:30 p.m. – Carimi in the plaza
9:00 p.m. –  Rara Lakay closes out the night

In the gallery there will be Global Caribbean IV, an exhibition presented with the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance. An official Art Basel sanctioned event.

7th Circuit Studios, (228 NE 59 Street) hosts an after show party each month featuring the Moksha Roots Allstars and special guests. Before 10PM the gallery is free. After 10PM, admission is $10. MokshaFamily.com

Afrobeat star Femi Kuti and the Positive Force
Sunday, January 13th, 8:00 p.m. at Grand Central, Miami
Moving forward from the music of his legendary father Fela Kuti, Femi’s music also has a dose of funk and jam sounds. Here is Afrobeat at its finest! Come enjoy a night of grooves via Lagos. Tickets are $30 online or call 305.672.5202

Pink Martini!
Saturday, January 19th, 8:00 p.m. at the Fillmore Miami Beach
“Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure. If the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we’d be that band.” – Thomas Lauderdale, bandleader/pianist. Here is the much-anticipated return to the South Florida of the globetrotting “little orchestra,” taking audiences on a jet-set musical adventure with a distinct retro sound, featuring guest vocalist Storm Large.
