From Jun 9 through 19, 2011. Out in the Tropics kicks off its second year with a panel discussion and opening reception at The Shore Club hotel in Miami Beach. The evening begins with the ideas and insights of some of the best GLBT contemporary artists in Words and Power, a panel discussion moderated by Founding Artistic Director Robert Rosenberg.

July 2012. This summer, Arts for Learning (A4L) launched its newest initiative “ArtWorks” made possible through a recent $75,000.00 grant awarded by UBS, the global financial services firm. ArtWorks is a paid internship program in the arts for high school students who live in the surrounding neighborhoods of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, namely, Overtown, Wynwood, Little Haiti, and Liberty City.

December 2009. This new space will house the personal collection of Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz and will serve as an extension of their home, which has been available for public viewing for the past fifteen years. The collection focuses on international contemporary art.
