On April 3, 2013, Wine by the Bay hosted a private preview of, “The Wine and Art of Sandro Chia.” Over 30 people attended the dinner and wine tasting including Antonio Chia, son of internationally exhibited artist and owner of the Castello Romitorio winery in Italy. Sandro Chia’s art adorns the bottles of many of his wines including the 95+ rated 2004 Castello di Romitorio Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva. On view were the prints, sculptures, and original paintings by Sandro Chia.

Antonio Chia was also present at the inaugural Downtown Miami First Friday Art Walk community event. About 50 people attended this special art exhibit and wine tasting.

“We are happy to present our First Friday art and wine event Downtown style,” commented Wine by the Bay’s owner, Stefano Campanini. “Whereas other art walks have a sort of party feel, Downtown events will reflect a different type of cultural scene. Our events will be aligned with the sophistication of the new Museum Park, Adrienne Arsht Center, and MIA Art Fairs.”

The boutique wine store will continue to host cultural events throughout the year including art and wine tasting events for Downtown Miami’s First Friday Art Walks and the Miami Downtown Development Authority’s 2nd DWNTWN Art Days – a 3 day event to be held from September 21 to 23, 2013. Art Days aims to bring together Arts and Culture activities in Downtown under one umbrella event. To learn more about future Wine by the Bay events, visit www.winebtb.com.
