Wall Painting Arturo Herrera at the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale

Through Dec 31, 2014

The Museum of Art has commissioned three art installations for the exterior of its building, the largest being a 30×50 foot mural by internationally-known Venezuelan painter Arturo Herrera that graces the Bernard and Miriam Peck Terrace. Other artists include Jen Stark and husband and wife team Roberto Behar & Rosario Marquardt, each of whom have designed installations that enliven the three sides of the museum’s Edward Larrabee Barnes-designed modernist structure. The installations will be on view until the end of 2014.

Funding for the Museum of Art is provided, in part, by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council; the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs; and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.
