Yo-Yo Ma and Friends at the Arsht Center. Musical Perspectives on the Cultures of BRIC: A Silkroad Collaboration

Nov 15, 2015

Yo-Yo Ma brings together long time collaborators and friends with whom he has explored the musical and cultural traditions of Europe, Latin America and the Silk Road. In a program including works from Brazil, Russia, India and China, the group brings a 21st century perspective to diverse cultural traditions.

One of Ma’s goals is to explore music as a means of communication and as a vehicle for the migration of ideas across a range of cultures throughout the world. BRIC explores this relationship through music. This performance is not to be missed!
