The Frost Art Museum Fall Exhibitions

From Oct 13th, 2010 through Jan 2nd, 2011. The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University (FIU) is hosting four major exhibitions: Embracing Modernity: Venezuelan Geometric Abstraction; Sequentia by Xavier Cortada; Selections from Anomie 1492-2006 by Arnold Mesches and La Habana Moderna in The Wolfsonian Teaching Gallery at The Frost Art Museum.

Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Shinique Smith: Menagerie

Sept 16th through Nov 19th, 2010. MOCA North Miami presents Shinique Smith’s first large-scale U.S. museum exhibition. In this exhibition, Smith will use MOCA’s flexible gallery space to explore new ways of working and installing her work. Part of MOCA’s Knight Exhibition Series, Shinique Smith: Menagerie will include installations, works on paper, and video from 2002 to the present.

2010 Award in the  Visual Arts and  Brandon Fradd Award in Music Composition. June 2010.
