Through August 1, 2014. 28 Chinese is the culmination of the Rubells’ six research trips to China between 2001 and 2012 where they visited one hundred artists’ studios in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Xi’an and acquired artwork from twenty-eight artists.

Through September 26, 2014. Girls’ Club has engaged Miami artist team TM Sisters – sisters Monica and Natasha Lopez de Victoria – to collaborate with the collection of contemporary art by women amassed by Fort Lauderdale collectors Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz.

This November, the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse opens its doors to the public once again for the opening of a new exhibition series that includes Africa: Photography and Video; Jene Highstein: Large Stone Carvings; Michelangelo Pistoletto: Broken Mirror Painting; Contemporary Painting: Selections from the Margulies Collection; Brian Alfred: Digital Animation; and Permanent Large Scale Sculpture.

A Site-Specific Installation by Karen Rifas. June 12th, 2010. 7:00 p.m. In the exhibition “Abandoned” Karen Rifas makes reference to our disappearing forests and the constant irreversible damage to our ecological system.

From May 27th through the summer The de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space unveils a new installation of works by Guilermo Kuitca from 1986 to 1998. Memory and loss are an integral part of Guillermo Kuitca’s work. 

From Jan 15th through Feb 14th, 2010. Carol Jazzar Contemporary Art presents “Cinematheque,” an exhibition of recent drawings by Jorge Pantoja. This will be Pantoja’s solo debut at the gallery. In this body of work, using only memories of films often seen many years prior to putting pen to paper, Jorge Pantoja simultaneously comments on cinematographic history and our faculty for impressions.
