At the age of 89, Bebo Valdés, giant of Cuban music, is one of the last survivors of the Golden Age of Cuban music of the 40’s and 50’s. After the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, Valdés goes into exile and lives in oblivion for four decades earning his living in Sweden’s hotel piano bars. But starting in the year 2000, Bebo Valdés makes a spectacular return to the scene, winning six Grammy awards for his latest works. Over 7 years in the making and shot in Cuba, Spain, the US, and Sweden, Old Man Bebo is the chronicle of the lives and times of Bebo Valdés.
