From the national bestselling author of Prague Fatale comes A Man Without Breath, a powerful new thriller by master novelist Philip Kerr that returns Bernie Gunther, the sardonic Berlin cop, to the Eastern Front, where he must uncover the perpetrators of a terrible war crime.

As Malcolm Forbes enthused in The Daily Beast, “The Bernie Gunther novels are, by a long chalk, the best crime novels around today.”

Philip Kerr is the author of eight previous Bernie Gunther novels, most recently Field Gray and Prague Fatale, both New York Times bestsellers. If the Dead Rise Not was a finalist for the Shamus Award for Best Hardcover Fiction, and Field Gray was a finalist for the Edgar Award for Best Hardcover Fiction. As P. B. Kerr, he is also the author of the young adult series Children of the Lamp. He lives in London.

This event is presented in collaboration with Soho Beach House, founded in London in 1995 as a private members’ club for those in film, media and creative industries.
