“South Florida JAZZ at Bailey Hall” Presents
Jane Bunnett & Maqueque

Saturday, March 17 – 8:00 p.m.

Canadian soprano saxophonist-flutist Jane Bunnett is recognized both for her artistry and her improvisational daring. She is a four-time JUNO Award-winner and two-time GRAMMY nominee, including 2018 for Best Latin Jazz Album, Oddaro. Jane’s long-term exploration and immersion in Afro-Cuban rhythms and melodies has expressed the universality of music; and her ability to embrace and showcase the culture of Cuba has been groundbreaking. Jane’s most recent recording and touring group, Maqueque, consists of Jane with five dynamic young Cuban women instrumentalists and composers. This dynamic folkloric and jazz fusion band is turning heads internationally. They will appear at both the Newport and Monterey jazz festivals this year – that’s a very big deal!

Tickets are $35-$45; $10 for students under 25 with valid I.D.
