Miami Lyric Opera. May 28th and 30th, 2009. 8:00 p.m.  Miami Lyric Opera. Miami Music"Hanno ammazzatu compare Turiddu" (Turiddu has been killed). With this dramatic phrase, concludes the story of popular chivalry tradition in the old Sicily of the 19th Century. Love, jealousy and infidelity create the drama that ends in a death among friends. The story of Giovanni Vega attracted Mascagni theatrical intuition to create one of the most popular opera of the Italian repertoire, Cavalleria Rusticana (Rustic Chivalry).

Come and listen to this beautiful and dramatic melodies with its famous "Intermezzo" great arias and duets and the choral with popular mystic songs that villagers sing to nature and Holiness. The selection of a dual opera program with Cavalleria and Suor Angelica will provide the public with two extraordinary works from Mascagni and Puccini very close to the hearts of the opera lovers. This performance is sure to bring freshness and emotion to a dramatic evening experience.
