Classical South Florida receives generous gift from the Dr. Sanford L. and Delores Ziff Foundation

April 2010.

altCSF, the largest listener-supported broadcaster of classical music in South Florida, announced the donation to kick-off the station’s spring membership fund drive, which starts Wednesday, March 24.  As an incentive to help to build financial support for CSF, The Dr. Sanford L. Ziff Family Foundation is introducing the Ziff Classical Music Community Challenge, and will match dollar-for-dollar all new or increased membership contributions to CSF.

Doug Evans, CSF’s general manager says, “This generous and timely gift is a powerful invitation to South Florida residents to become more involved in strengthening Classical South Florida.”

The Dr. Sanford L. Ziff Family Foundation believes in CSF’s mission to preserve, protect and strengthen classical music in the region.  Dr. Sanford L. Ziff said, “Delores and I want to be part of the fabulous Classical South Florida music that not only reaches the individuals soul and heart, it makes everything about the body feel alive.” He continues, “We love this beautiful music and hope our friends, family and community enjoy it as much as we do.”

“Classical South Florida is deeply grateful to The Dr. Sanford L. Ziff Family Foundation,” said Evans. “Their generous donation allows CSF to continue to grow and reach even more listeners. We look forward to engaging our listeners and our communities with the best possible programming.”
