Free to Be: The Ballard of Esequiel Hernandez premiers October 10th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

This provocative documentary relates the story of an eighteen-year-old goat herder killed by U.S. Marines on border patrol in 1997 and tells a cautionary tale about the dangers of using the military as domestic law enforcement. Screening followed by a discussion led by Troy Elder, clinical assistant professor of Law, FIU College of Law.
