MacArthur “Genuis” Fellowship winner and two-time Grammy nominee Dafnis Prieto conducts the Downbeat Award winning Frost Latin Jazz Orchestra in music from his outstanding new big band recording, Back to the Sunset. This concert will highlight Prieto’s compositions, including Song for Chico, dedicated to the late Cuban composer Chico O’Farrill, and Una Vez Más, dedicated to Brian Lynch and maestro Eddie Palmieri.
