The Greater Miami Youth Symphony presents their Advanced Camp Finale Concert at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center on July 3 at 1:00pm. The program will include performances by camp ensembles including Symphony Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. Repertoire will include Fourth of July favorites, Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal, Bach’s Brandenburg No. 3, and Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances.
The Advanced Camp runs for three weeks from June 16, 2014 through July 3, 2014 at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. They also receive master classes from college music professors such as Glenn Basham and Brian Powell from The University of Miami.
The Greater Miami Youth Symphony also hosts Intermediate and Beginning Summer Camps serving young musicians from elementary and middle schools in Miami-Dade County.

West Miami Middle School
All students will perform in a concert that will be presented to friends, family, and the community at-large. Students also have field trip opportunities including Venetian Pool, Zoo Miami, Actor’s Playhouse, and Fantasy Theatre. Scholarships are available. GMYS programs are open to students of all abilities.
Admission: $12.00 (Adult), $6.00 (Youth & Seniors). Camp groups welcome, no charge for chaperones
