International musician Idan Raichel, well known and loved as the band leader of the Idan Raichel Project over the last 15 years, is taking a bold new move, by returning to the audience SOLO. In line and inspired by the likes of i.e. Caetano Veloso, Dave Matthews and Prince, Idan says, that this comes very natural to him and that he is excited to share the new experience with the world’s stages live.
In the solo concerts Idan will present songs from his entire career, including his latest album “At The Edge Of The Beginning”. With this new solo album, Idan brings audiences an introspective work, consisting of mostly gentle songs with unassuming melodies and arrangements. After his latest stint of 30 sold out piano concerts, Idan has decided to take this time and moment of his career to dedicate himself to the solo performance. Solo on stage, Idan will play acoustic piano, electric piano, percussion, drum pad & looper and even some chosen toys of his two young daughters, which he uses to create sound in honor & celebration of his fairly new status as a father.
