The Arsht Center for the Perfoming Arts is presenting the Minnesota Orchestra in a one-night-only performace featuring Osmo Vänskä as music director and Midori on violin.

Now in its second century, the Minnesota Orchestra has been led by renowned Music Director Osmo Vänskä since 2003 and enjoys significant success and critical praise for performances throughout the world. The New Yorker music critic Alex Ross wrote “The Minnesota Orchestra sounded, to my ears, like the greatest orchestra in the world.”

Midori joins the orchestra to perform the brilliant Sibelius Violin Concerto. Known for her dazzling performances and the scope of her astonishing career, which blossomed shortly after conductor Zubin Mehta invited the young violinist at the age of 11 to be a surprise guest soloist with the New York Philharmonic, she will light up the stage with her impeccable grace, passion and technique!
