Performing Arts Network Presents Ballet Flamenco La Rosa: Ritmo Y Pasion

Opening: Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00pm

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa, the Miami-based international dance company, is pleased to announce the world premiere performance of Ritmo y Pasion. Performing this pure Flamenco work are artists from the U.S, Latin America and Spain guided by the choreography of Artistic Director Ilisa Rosal.

Ritmo y Pasion electrifies the audience with pure Flamenco music and dance, in a range of rhythms and styles. The production takes you through dramatic, sensual and passionate moods with powerful vocals and footwork — interwoven with the grace so loved by Flamenco audiences worldwide. The excitement of authentic Flamenco will have you shouting “Ole!” and clapping with the rhythm.

Rosal’s production of Ritmo y Pasion presents the power of Flamenco dance at its best. With its footwork, precise athleticism and energy, Ritmo y Pasion incorporates live music created and arranged by guitarist “El Sivi” along with singer “Almudena” from Spain (in collaboration with Ballet Flamenco La Rosa dancers and choreographers). Choreography will include a collaboration with flamenco soloist and choreographer, Manolete (Artistic Director of La Chumbera, International Flamenco School in Granada, Spain).
