Sunday Afternoons of Music for Children

Sunday, January 19th, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This Family Music Party offers a musical and lyrical adventure that both children and adults can truly enjoy. With lots of family-friendly humor and hand-clapping rhythms, their folksy-acoustic sound is simple, yet invigorating when coupled with lyrics that acknowledge the intelligent minds of children. This often goofy and always lively musical duo presents the world as youngsters see it, in a fresh manner that reminds us to embrace life and smile as we do. Trout Fishing in America will make you dance, think and laugh out loud from the first notes to the final encore!

Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. The name, taken from a Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruous as a picture of this musical duo: Ezra Idlet (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Keith Grimwood (bass), five feet five and one half inches. After three decades of writing, recording and performing together, Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride.
