Colony Theatre. From November 22 through 24, 2013. A highly unconventional and innovative staging of the Pulitzer Prize winning play “Anna in the Tropics” will be presented in three full-evening performances on Miami Beach.

From June 13 through 16, 2013. Miami is once again the vortex for LGBTQ performing arts via Out in the Tropics, June 13-16 at The Colony Theater on Lincoln Road. The fourth annual celebration features an adventurous lineup of award-winning LGBTQ artists from throughout the country (and new performers direct from Havana making their U.S. debut).

From April 18 through 20, 2013. FUNDarte presents its annual declaration of the arts via Miami On Stage 2013, April 18-20. The cleverly curated weekend features new, hybrid music and art installations from Miami-based performers. The venue? Miami’s new vortex for homegrown performance visionaries: the On-Stage Black Box Theater at Miami-Dade County Auditorium.

From April 18 through 20, 2013. “The Ladies’ Room is that ironic place of utmost privacy in public,” says artist Dinorah de Jesús Rodriguez, about the location of her public-intervention video art installation mujer_cita_MIA. It premieres April 18-20 in the common areas of Miami-Dade County Auditorium (including the women’s restroom).

Saturday, April 6, 2013, 8:00 p.m. Gema Corredera, one of Miami’s most loved musical treasures, will be performing highlights from her first solo album, Derramando Luz (Spreading Light) with a very special guest Marta Valdes, on Saturday, April 6th, at 8:00 p.m. at Miami Dade County Auditorium, presented by FUNDarte and Artes Miami.

From March 15 through 17, 2013. A weekend of diverse Cuban music in Miami Beach is lined up as part of the month-long Miami-wide festival, Global Cuba Fest, which celebrates the roots of Cuban music and the genre’s funkiest innovations exploring jazz, son montuno, bolero, trova, timba and Afro-Cuban rhythms.

November 24, 2012. FUNDarte is presenting Cuban Pianists Aldo López-Gavilán and Harold López-Nussa in concert at the On Stage Black Box Theater at Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
