The 2014 Mainly Mozart Festival is here!

During this season you will have an opportunity to experience the artistry of the Florida Grand Opera Young Artists, the Miami City Ballet dancers, the Collegium Musicum, the Miami Children’s Chorus, some of the best Florida musicians and ensembles and a number of debuts by internationally acclaimed artists: the celebrated Israeli cellist Amit Peled and Canadian virtuoso Yi-Jia Susanne Hou.

The festival’s new home is the magnificent Miami landmark – The Biltmore Hotel. What could be better than making new music discoveries and experiencing timeless masterpieces performed live by celebrated artists all in this gorgeous and quintessential Miami setting?

The festival finale will take place at the beautiful and acoustically perfect Knight Concert Hall of the Adrienne Arsht Center on June 22.

The Miami Chamber Music Society – a new organization that garnered critical acclaim for producing Mainly Mozart XX season finale concert in 2013 will now fully produce the festival. The Society’s leaders – the nationally recognized trial lawyer and cultural activist Lewis “Mike” Eidson, President, and internationally acclaimed pianist Marina Radiushina, Artistic Director, are privileged to direct the festival and are excited about the creation of new artistic partnerships with leading arts organizations that the Society hopes to foster for many years to come.

Conductor Donald Oglesby and Collegium Musicum present the spiritual side of Mozart’s genius in his timeless masterpieces Ave Verum and selections from Requiem.
