The Barber of Seville, performed by Miami Lyric Opera, remains one of Rossini’s most frequently performed comic operas in the repertoire. The barber of the title is Figaro, whose impressive entrance aria (“”Largo al factotum””)—with its repeated proclamations of his own name—is one of the best-known of all opera arias. The Barber of Seville will be conducted by Beverly Coulter, with Raffaele Cardone as artistic Director and Pablo hernandez as Chorus Master. In the cast Nicola Ziccardi as Figaro; Fabian Robles as Almaviva; Leyla Martinucci as Rosina; Stefanos Koroneos as Bartolo; Mikhail Smigelski as Basilio; Gabriel Menendez as Fiorello; Megan Barrera as Berta; Eric Dobkin as Sargeant and Emil Codias as Ambrogio/Notario.
