The Broward Symphony Orchestra  celebrates its current season Grand Finale with a program that will include variations on a Theme by Haydn – Johannes Brahms; The Planets – Gustav Holst; Mars: The Bringer of War; Venus: The Bringer of Peace; Jupiter: The Bringer of Jolity; Saturn: The Bringer of Old Age; and  Little Fugue in G minor – Bach/Stokowski

The Broward Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1966 by conductor Jimmy Woodle as the Broward Community College Orchestra, under the sponsorship of Broward Community College. The orchestra has been developing greater musical quality and forwarding its educational mission under the baton of Wendell Simmons, Glenn Quader, Michael Garasi, Dr. Charles Chen, Dr. Michelle Michaelis, Dr. Jack Roller, David Bebe, Michael Scherperel, Dr. Christopher Cicconi and currently with the talented leadership of Dr. Zoe Zeniodi and Dr. Rufus Jones.
