It will be screened at The Miami Beach Cinematheque presented by the Centro Cultural Español as part of the Art encounters: Interstices between Literature, Cinema & Graphic Design program.

Based on Gunter Grass’ Nobel Prize winning novel, The Tin Drum tells the story of Oskar a boy who resolves to stop growing at the age of three in the same year the Nazi’s come to power. Trapped in the body of a little boy, Oskar remains an acute observer of the increasingly bizarre and violent world around him. The Tin Drum remains one of the most mesmerizing and disturbing portraits of Nazi Germany. Directed by Volker Schlndorf,Germany, 1979, 142mins. Starring David Bennet, Mario Adorf and Angela Winkler.
