“When A Baby Cries” on stage at Pompano Beach Cultural Center

Wed Aug 29, 2018 - Sun Sep 2, 2018

A comedic paradox that shows how the lives of four people are dramatically uplifted through the redemptive power of new life.  Lemon is a woman healing from the physical and emotional scars of a tragic fire intentionally set by her husband 18 years ago, which claimed his life and the life of their infant son. She again begins to feel the sting of loneliness as her best friend, Sweetness, awaits a proposal of marriage from war veteran Manny.

When Sweetness receives the news that Manny is returning home, she is elated, and the romantic flame is rekindled with a longtime lover that she hasn’t seen in years. When Manny arrives with an unexpected guest, it appears that Lemon’s world will be further destroyed, and Sweetness’s dreams of a marriage shattered. However, in the end, the right side is up in this serious but fun-loving display of misunderstandings and revelation.
