FIU Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty by Rufus Norris

From November 8 through 17, 2013.

This adaptation of the classic fairy tale, directed by Margaret M. Ledford, is a wildly irreverent treat that will delight children and grown-ups alike. It focuses on Goody, the fairy who puts the famous curse on Beauty and spends the rest of the play trying to make everything turn out all right. Yes, there is a princess who pricks her finger and falls into a magic sleep, but there is also a vicious ogre mother-in-law, and ungrateful queen, and, in the center of it all, a grumpy fairy whose magic comes with stinky gas.

Regular performance hours are Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 Students, $12 Seniors & Faculty/Staff (with ID), $15 General Admission. Tickets can be purchased online at http://wpac.fiu.edu or 305.348.0496.
