Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. April 4, 2013, 8:00 p.m.

Ballet Etoile has returned to Aventura Arts & Cultural Center with one night only performance The House Of Bernarda Alba. Artistic Director Tomas Mazuch has created a danced adaptation of tragic tale of frustration and explosive passion in a household of women ruled by tyrannical mother.

Ballet Etoile presents “The House of Bernarda Alba” – a contemporary ballet drama adapted from Federico Garcia Lorca’s last play, La Casa de Bernarda Alba. A story about domineering matriarch, Bernarda Alba and her daughters. The tension, beauty, discipline, jealousy and tyranny, all within one household, will trigger every emotion. This performance shows how realism can be elevated to a different level. An extraordinary evening of poetry in movement narrated by special guest Carla Bordonada.
