Coconut Grove Art Stroll

August 1st, 2009. 7:00 p.m.

Over 40 local and international artists will participate in the upcoming Coconut Grove Art Stroll this summer. To enrich the experience, festivities will include live music by “3 sheets to the wind” as well Japanese and Polynesian performances by Etnia Fusion. In addition, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County will be there to offer the latest in cultural entertainment.
Captain Art, “The most exciting art teacher”, will assist the children while they paint and draw in the art area. This free public event offers a cultural and entertaining alternative to satisfy the entire family. Johnny Valdes, Director of Coconut Grove Art Stroll and owner of two galleries in CocoWalk, invites you to “come and be part of the reemergence of Coconut Grove as an artistic Mecca and the premier spot for cultural events”.

Some of the artists exhibiting works in the festival include Proman Garcia, Jose Riera, Johnny Valdes, Arien Lopez, Javier Martinez, Juan Vilacoba, Pedro Amador, Santa Olaya, Jose Romero, Daisy Rodriguez, Arturo Palomino and German Molina.

“Many new sponsors have come on board, but there is room for many more”, said Event Coordinator Cynthia Bettner- “It’s a great way to introduce your product to a diverse crowd”
