Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. From Oct 2008 through Apr 2009. 
The 2008-2009 Concert Series of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale will start on October 10th, 2008 and will run through April 3rd, 2009. The series will include fourteen outstanding concert performances by renowned musicians.
The season begins with comedian Ken Davis and gospel singer/guitarist, Jadon Lavik in a benefit concert for radio station WAFG. An evening with the Wilson Family will be presented by Director of Music John Wilson and his family and it will be a free concert for the community on November 15th.
The Coral Ridge Concert Choir and Orchestra will mark the beginning of the Christmas season by presenting the beloved oratorio, Handel’s Messiah on December 5th, followed by the Many Moods of Christmas concert on December 19th and 20th, featuring a live nativity and special Solo Handbell Ringer, Christine Anderson. The annual Church Music Explosion will feature Internationally Acclaimed Organist, John Weaver, and a Gala Concert with Dr. Christopher Aspaas, Director at St. Olaf College.
The "Music of the Nations" Pops Concert will feature a great evening of music from opera arias to selections from South Pacific and My Fair Lady to music from around the world conducted by Dr. John Wilson and performed by the Concert Choir, Soloists, and full orchestra. To celebrate our country’s heritage of freedom, the Concert Choir and full orchestra will present traditional choral and orchestra favorites in our ever-popular Patriotic Concert. The Patriotic Concert was awarded the 2007 George Washington Honor Medal by the Freedom Foundation.
Rounding out the season will be Sandi Patty, known as “The Voice,” gospel singer Steve Green and the lovely ladies of Point of Grace. The season would not be complete without the big band sounds of the Artie Shaw Orchestra. To finish the season, Samuel Metzger, senior organist at Coral Ridge, will present his annual free solo organ concert.
