Culture Shock Miami offers Students Music, Theatre, Dance and More

June 2010

altFor South Florida students, June means freedom, as summer has arrived. Students can celebrate with more than 10 performances ranging from The Bluest Eye – based on Toni Morrison’s first book about a girl who wants to see the world through blue eyes – to dance performances like Reaching the Surface – created to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS.

Miami Dade County’s Department of Cultural Affairs student-discount ticketing program, Culture Shock Miami, offers students in Miami Dade and Broward Counties between the ages of 13 to 22 with the opportunity to experience the performing arts for just $5.
