Dance Now! Ensemble presents Random Patterns of Falling Leaves

Colony Theatre. Oct 29 & 30, 2011. 8:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.

Breathtaking visuals accompany Dance Now! Miami’s stunning dancers and poetic choreography in this season’s “Random Patterns of Falling Leaves” danced to the haunting music of Arvo Part.
This new work transports the audience from the tropics of South Florida on journey into the dynamic midwestern forests as they shed their fiery leaves and prepare for the hibernation of winter. Bruce F. Brown and Marylin Skow join forces to create the dramatic lighting, sets and costumes for this newest collaboration from Dance Now!’s prolific and critically acclaimed Artistic Directors Diego Salterini and Hannah Baumgarten.

Critics have hailed Dance Now! as “…unabashed beauty…” (Annie Hollingsworth, Artburst Miami), “carnal and courageous… with an impressive range of movement and motion”, (Mia Leonin, Miami Art Guide), “…not only elegant and fierce, but dedicated to its community…a mature, exciting and bounds-breaking company.” (Miguel Estefan, Miami Art Guide). Dance Now! has also garnered prestigious awards including: Best Experimental Dance Company (Miami Sun Post) and Top Ten Dance Events of the Year (Miami Herald) and Directors Salterini and Baumgarten received the Miami ArtZine “Visionary Award” in 2010.
